The Tabernacle Learning Center Board and The Mosaic Group hosted a soft opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the U.B. Kinsey Educational & Community Center on Aug. 2. Located at 720 8th Street in West Palm Beach, the two-story building will house a daycare and after school program on the lower level and retail space and six office suites on the second floor.
LaVoise Taylor Smith, Board Chairperson of the Tabernacle Learning Center said, “We hope to bring businesses from the community so that the people of the community can come in and receive services that these entrepreneurs will bring.”
Event goers enjoyed performances by the Tabernacle Youth Choir, Faith’s Place Center for Arts & Education steel drum band and refreshments from Culinary Flair Catering.
The community center was funded by benefactors Jeffrey and Lynda Jacobs, the Palm Beach County Commission and generous private donations. The project has been in planning for ten years, but construction on the site began in 2014.
Leasing options for events, office and retail space are now available. For more information contact Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church at (561) 832-8338.
