Iconic actor, comedian, motivational speaker and author, Thomas Mikal Ford has passed away. He was 52 years old. Ford died after a short stent on life support in an Atlanta hospital after suffering from a ruptured aneurysm in his stomach.
Ford is most noted for his role as Tommy in the hit, now syndicated 90s sitcom Martin. There was initial confusion about the actor’s death on Oct. 12 when his friend and fellow comedic actor, Anthony Anderson tweeted the news of his passing. Anderson later removed that post once he realized his friend was still fighting on life support. Unfortunately, Ford did pass away on the same day. He was surrounded by family as he transitioned.
To all family and friends of Tommy Ford. We would like to inform everyone that our brother passed away today October 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Please keep his family in your prayers as they go through this challenging time. He was so dearly loved by so many and for that lets all be grateful for a life well served.
